Does Monster Trade charge a fee when I buy something?
No. MonsterTrade is absolutely free for all buyers. You simply have to register first by entering your name, e-mail, school, and agree to our terms and conditions. After that, you may search our listings and contact the sellers.

How do I exchange items?
After the buyer and the seller agree on a price and payment method, they can either have the item shipped or meet in person. If you choose to meet in person, we strongly recommend that you meet in a busy area such as the library or the quad, just to be safe.

How do I find the items I am looking for?
First you'll need to select the school. After that simply select your item and press [go]. If you are searching for a textbook, you may either: 1. Search for textbooks by entering the course name and number. 2. Search for textbooks by ISBN, author, and title.

Does MonsterTrade charge a fee for listing items?
No. In a few months, we may collect a small commission from the items that are sold through our Site. But as of now, we have no plans for charging sellers listing fees.

Is my personal information safe?
Your privacy is very important to us. We do not sell or rent your personal information to any third parties for their marketing purposes. Your contact information will not be made public. Only your first name, email address and optional phone number will be displayed next to your posting so that registered users of the website can contact you.

What is a fair price for a used textbook?
A fair price is usually the median of what the bookstores charge for selling and buying the books back from students. Lets say, a certain bookstore charges $100 for a used book and decides to rip-off poor students by buying back the same book for $50. A fair price to trade would be anywhere from 75$ - 80$ whereby both parties can save around 20-25 bucks by using Monster Trade.

How Long is each listing good for?
Each listing will remain indefinitely unless you delete it. Please log in to the "my account" section and update your account to reflect that an item has been sold.

What if my school is not listed here?
For now Monster Trade is only covering selected universities. If you wish to add your school to our directory, contact promotions@monstertrade.com. You may also e-mail us if you or someone you now are personally interested in helping us promote in your school and learn about our generous and exciting campus-rep program.

Do I have to be a student to use this website?
No. Anyone with a valid e-mail address can trade on our website. However, you must be at least 18 years of age or use this site under supervision of your parent/guardian.

How do I report a problem or make a suggestion?
If you encounter a technical problem, please contact us at support@monstertrade.com . A support specialist will contact you ASAP. We are also open to all suggestions and will be happy to hear your thoughts. Feel free to e-mail us at feedback@monstertrade.com

How do I change my personal information or make changes to my listings?
Simply log into the my account section. You can easily ad or remove a listing, or modify an existing one. You can also make changes to your personal information. We strongly recommend that you update your e-mail address in case of a change.

Is trading class work legal?
Selling/sharing/exchanging your own original class work is perfectly legal. However, some teachers distribute complete or incomplete prewritten notes, or sample tests which may not be copied with the intent of selling/sharing/exchanging without the agreement from the original owner. Also, making copies of someone else's original class work with the intent to sell/share/exchange without their agreement violates the respective owner's copyrights.
